Tours are normally available any day of the week. Groups of up to 12 are welcome. The price for the standard three-hour tour is £165.
This does not include the entrance fees to colleges and other buildings, normally £2 or £3 a head. Details of all charges can be discussed when booking. A shorter, two-hour is also available for £110.
The standard tour includes:
- The colleges
A selection of the ancient colleges, normally including Christ Church or New College, that together make up the university; each an architectural gem.
- The Bodleian Library
The university’s spectacular central library, a magnet for scholars and travellers for more than 400 years.
- The Sheldonian Theatre
The grand ceremonial hall of the university, designed by Sir Christopher Wren, England’s greatest architect of the 17th century
- Radcliffe Square
The heart of the university district with the Radcliffe Camera, the city’s best known architectural showpiece, at its centre.
- The Divinity School
The 15th century Gothic masterpiece that was the university’s first lecture hall.
